Managed Services
The nature of today’s Unified Communication Networks enable businesses and organizations to get the full benefit of expert monitoring of their systems without adding additional staff to payroll.
Today’s networking systems employ multiple policies and protocols to securely manage dataflow, remote access and security issues. Many businesses and organizations are large enough to have personnel dedicated to monitoring these concerns. However, many small to medium size businesses simply cannot afford to add such payroll to their bottomline. This is where outsourced Managed Services comes to the rescue providing appropriate network monitoring and solutions.
PNC offers you the ability to get technologies without any equipment purchases or maintenance of systems. Two standard options to consider are:
Spam and Virus Management
PNC recommends industry–leading Ironport solutions for our customers, as it is simply the best product for the job. However, many organizations neither want the overhead of managing their own Ironport solution, nor do they want to afford it. In response, PNC has deployed a managed service for Ironport. Customers receive a bill, based on a per user, per year model that will cover inbound SPAM and virus attacks that occur via email. The result? Less junk in your mailbox with no fears about opening an attachment and sending a virus out to everyone.
Pricing: $14/user/year, plus a $500 setup fee.
Network Management
PNC recommends Solarwinds for our customers, as it is the best product for the job. Again, many organizations neither want the overhead of managing their own Solarwinds Deployment, nor can they afford it. In response, PNC offers a managed Solarwinds deployment in which a technician proactively monitors your network during all business hours, responding to changes and outages before you are often aware of them. Notifications are sent out to approriate personnel, based on criteria that are specified during a pre-deployment interview between PNC and your staff. This saves tremendous troubleshooting time as monitoring quickly determined what subsystem has failed, shortening the time needed to isolate the problem. Emails, pages and phone calls can all be part of the notification process. Customers on PNC’s Network Management System must have a positive balance of professional service hours to be eligible and pay quarterly for this service.
Pricing: $150 per item instance, per quarter. Setup fee based on circumstance (ranges from $500 to $2500)
